In Memoriam: Professor Rasheed Azzam, honorary committee member of ICSE-9
In grief, it´s heard that the honorary committee member of ICSE-9, Professor Rasheed Azzam at the University of New Orleans (USA) passed away on Feb. 17, 2022 at the age of 76.
Professor Azzam was a distinguished scholar in the ellipsometry field and most of us learned from his book “Ellipsometry and Polarized Light” in our scientific career.
His passing is an enormous loss for the ellipsometry community. We will remember him and his great contribution in ellipsometry forever. He was and will remain an inspiration for us.
